Packing a writer’s suitcase

When heading off on holiday with your pet writer, it’s safest to assume that, whatever you’re looking forward to, the journey or arriving, climate or landscape, culture or food, the lazing or gadding about, what they’re looking forward to is the chance to do more writing. They don’t plan to take a break from writing the way that you don’t plan to take a break from oxygen. As you’re undoubtedly fond of your writer, you may choose to gift them extra time muttering over their manuscript, by packing a suitcase for them. If so, bravo. I’ve started collecting words that already have a job to do but, given the chance, can moonlight as exclamations.
